This red lamp is the seat belt reminder. It stays on or flashes with a beep that gets louder, to tell you that a seat belt has not been fastened or has been undone (depending on version).
What to do:
- Make sure every occupant fastens their seat belt.
Door open

This red lamp warns you that something is open. It stays on with a message showing which opening is open, and a beep is added if you are driving faster than 6 mph (10 km/h). It means a door, the boot, the tailgate or the opening rear screen is still open (depending on version).
What to do:
- Close whichever door or opening is shown as open.
- If your vehicle has a right-hand side-hinged door, bear in mind that this lamp will not tell you when that door is open.
Electric parking brake

This red lamp shows the status of the electric parking brake. When it stays on, the electric parking brake is applied. When it flashes, there is a fault with applying or releasing the brake.
What to do:
If the lamp stays on:
- Release the parking brake before you drive off.
If the lamp is flashing:
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so, parking on flat, level ground.
- With a manual gearbox, engage a gear, then switch off the ignition.
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Manual parking brake

This red lamp relates to the manual parking brake. When it stays on, the parking brake is applied or has not been fully released.
What to do:
- Release the parking brake fully before you drive off.
Braking

This red braking lamp can warn you about two different problems. If the braking lamp stays on by itself, the brake fluid level in the braking circuit has dropped significantly. If it stays on together with a second warning symbol, the electronic brake force distribution (EBFD) system is faulty.
What to do:
If the braking lamp comes on by itself (low brake fluid):
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off the ignition.
- Top up the brake fluid with fluid that meets the manufacturer's recommendations.
- If the problem continues, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If the braking lamp comes on with the second symbol (EBFD fault):
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off the ignition.
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If You're Not Sure
If a red lamp comes on and you are not sure what it means, stay calm and stop somewhere safe. Check whether a message is showing on the screen, as it often explains the alert, and look up the lamp in your handbook. If a red or orange lamp stays on, there may be a fault that needs further investigation, so contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Red lamps are your Peugeot Traveller's way of telling you something needs attention now, so never ignore one. Keep this guide handy, and check the handbook for your own vehicle, as the lamps fitted depend on version and equipment.
