Peugeot Traveller Indicators: Green and Blue Warnings (2024-2025)

Green and blue warning lamps on the Peugeot Traveller (2024-2025) explained: what each lamp means, how it lights up and what, if anything, you need to do.

Peugeot Traveller (2024-2025) driving at night with its headlamps on

Green and blue lamps on your instrument panel are indicator lamps rather than warnings. They show you that a system is switched on or tell you about its current operating status, so in most cases they simply confirm that something is working as it should. Some lamps can light up steadily or flash, and you may also hear an audible signal or see a message on the screen.

This guide covers the green and blue lamps on the third-generation Peugeot Traveller and applies to vehicles built from 4 March 2024. Some lamps depend on the version or equipment of your vehicle, so you may not see all of them on yours.

Automatic headlamp dipping

Green automatic main beam indicatorBlue automatic main beam indicatorGreen stop start indicator

This entry covers two different indicators. The automatic headlamp dipping lamps stay on steadily when you have activated the function through the vehicle's configuration menu and the lighting control stalk is set to "AUTO". The Stop & Start lamp stays on steadily when the system has put the engine into STOP mode while the vehicle is stationary, and flashes for a short time when STOP mode is temporarily unavailable or START mode is triggered automatically.

What to do:

If the automatic headlamp dipping lamps are on steadily:

  • No action is needed, the function is active with the stalk in the "AUTO" position.
  • For more information, see the Lighting and visibility section of your handbook.

If the Stop & Start lamp is on steadily:

  • No action is needed, the engine is simply in STOP mode while the vehicle is stopped.

If the Stop & Start lamp flashes for a short time:

  • STOP mode is not available for the moment, or the engine is restarting automatically in START mode.
  • For more information, see the Driving section of your handbook.

Vehicle ready to drive (Electric)

Ready to drive indicator

This lamp appears on electric versions. It comes on steadily with an audible signal to tell you that the vehicle is ready to drive and that the thermal comfort systems are available.

What to do:

  • You can drive off, the vehicle is ready.
  • The lamp goes out once you reach about 3 mph (5 km/h) and comes back on when the vehicle stops.
  • It goes out when you switch off the motor and get out of the vehicle.

Hill Assist Descent Control

Green hill start assist indicator

This lamp shows the status of Hill Assist Descent Control. When it is on steadily, the system is activated but the conditions it needs to control your speed are not met, for example because of the gradient, a speed that is too high or the gear engaged. When it flashes, the function is actively controlling the speed of the vehicle.

What to do:

If the lamp is on steadily:

  • No action is needed, the system is switched on but is not controlling your speed yet.

If the lamp is flashing:

  • The system is braking the vehicle for you on the descent.
  • Your brake lamps come on during the descent.

Direction indicators

Turn signal indicator

This lamp confirms that your direction indicators are working. It flashes together with an audible signal while the indicators are on.

What to do:

  • No action is needed, just remember to cancel the indicator once you have finished your manoeuvre.

Sidelamps

Sidelamps indicator

This lamp confirms that your sidelamps are switched on. It stays on steadily for as long as they are lit.

What to do:

  • No action is needed, the lamp simply confirms the sidelamps are on.

Dipped beam headlamps

Dipped beam indicator

This lamp confirms that your dipped beam headlamps are switched on. It stays on steadily while they are lit.

What to do:

  • No action is needed, the lamp simply confirms the dipped beam headlamps are on.

Front foglamps

Front fog lamp indicator

This lamp confirms that your front foglamps are switched on. It stays on steadily while they are lit.

What to do:

  • No action is needed, the lamp simply confirms the front foglamps are on.

Main beam headlamps

Blue main beam indicator

This lamp confirms that your main beam headlamps are switched on. It stays on steadily while they are lit.

What to do:

  • No action is needed, the lamp simply confirms the main beam headlamps are on.

If You're Not Sure

If a lamp behaves in a way you don't recognise, check whether it is on steadily or flashing and whether a message appears on the screen, then compare that with the descriptions above. For more detail on a particular system, see the matching section of your handbook, and if you are still unsure, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Green and blue lamps are mostly there to reassure you that a system is doing its job, so there is rarely anything to worry about when you see one. Keep this guide handy, and look out for our other posts covering the orange and red lamps on your Peugeot Traveller.
