Battery size and consumption by model
These are the figures the calculator starts from. Where Peugeot gives a range, it uses the higher one.

Peugeot E-208 charging cost
The E-208 136 hp has 46 kWh of usable battery and the 156 hp has 48 kWh. To fully charge either one, multiply that by your price per kWh. At an example home price of £0.24, a full charge of the 136 hp costs about £11.04, before charging losses. Pick the E-208 above and enter your own tariff to see the cost per mile and per month.
How the charging cost is worked out
The cost of a full charge is the battery size in kWh times your price per kWh. The cost per 100 km is the consumption in kWh/100 km times the same price. The monthly figure scales that to your distance.
WLTP figures come from lab tests. Real use in winter or at motorway speed usually needs more energy.
Home or public charging
The price per kWh varies a lot. Home electricity is usually the cheapest, and an off-peak EV tariff can be much cheaper still, so check your own tariff. Rapid chargers usually cost more per kWh.
Charging cost questions
- How much does it cost to fully charge a Peugeot E-208? It depends on your tariff. Multiply 46 kWh by your price per kWh. At an example £0.24 that is about £11.04, before charging losses.
- Is it cheaper than petrol? Usually when you charge at home on a normal or off-peak tariff. Charging mostly at rapid chargers can bring the cost close to petrol, or above it. Enter your own prices to see.
- Why is my real range lower than WLTP? WLTP is a lab test. Cold weather, heating, motorway speeds and short trips all use more energy.
- Does charging to 100% cost more than 80%? Only because it adds more energy. Charging 80% of the battery uses 80% of the energy, so it costs 80% of a full charge.
- How much does it cost to charge a Peugeot E-3008? The E-3008 210 hp has a 73 kWh battery. At an example home price of £0.24 per kWh, a full charge costs about £17.52, before charging losses. Enter your own tariff for your figure.
