Green and blue lamps on your dashboard are indicator lamps. They show you that a system or function is switched on or working, rather than warning you about a fault. The lane departure warning lamp is the exception here, because it can also tell you about a system fault.

This guide covers the Peugeot Traveller (2016-2024) and applies to vehicles built from 1 December 2022. Some lamps depend on the version or equipment of your vehicle, so you may not see all of them on your own Traveller.

Automatic wiping

Green automatic wipers indicator

This is the automatic wiping indicator lamp. When it stays on steadily, automatic windscreen wiping is activated.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that automatic wiping is switched on.

Automatic headlamp dipping

Green automatic main beam indicatorBlue main beam indicator

This lamp may appear as either of the automatic headlamp dipping icons shown above. When it stays on steadily, the function has been activated through the vehicle's configuration menu and the lighting control stalk is in the AUTO position.

What to do:

  • No action is needed while the lamp is on.
  • For more information about how the function works, see the Lighting and visibility section of your handbook.

Stop & Start

Green stop start indicator

This is the Stop & Start indicator lamp. It can stay on steadily or flash for a short time, and each pattern means something different. When it stays on steadily, the Stop & Start system has put the engine into STOP mode because the vehicle has stopped. When it flashes for a short time, STOP mode is temporarily unavailable or START mode has been triggered automatically.

What to do:

If the lamp is on steadily:

  • No action is needed. The engine is simply in STOP mode while the vehicle is stationary.

If the lamp flashes for a short time:

  • For more information, see the Driving section of your handbook.

Vehicle ready to drive (Electric)

Ready to drive indicator

This is the vehicle ready indicator lamp on electric versions. It stays on steadily, and you'll hear an audible signal when it comes on. It tells you the vehicle is ready to drive and the thermal comfort systems are available.

What to do:

  • You can set off. The lamp goes out once you reach approximately 3 mph (5 km/h) and comes back on when the vehicle stops.
  • The lamp goes out when you switch off the motor and get out of the vehicle.

Blind spot monitoring

Blind spot indicator

This is the blind spot monitoring indicator lamp. When it stays on steadily, the function has been activated.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that blind spot monitoring is on.

Lane departure warning

Green lane assist indicator

This is the lane departure warning lamp. It can flash or stay on steadily, and each pattern means something different. When it flashes with an audible signal, you've crossed a lane marking on the left or right. When it stays on steadily with a message on the screen, the system has a fault.

What to do:

If the lamp flashes with an audible signal:

  • Steer in the opposite direction to bring the vehicle back onto the correct path.
  • For more information, see the Driving section of your handbook.

If the lamp stays on with a message on the screen:

  • Stay alert and drive carefully.
  • Go to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Direction indicators

Turn signal indicator

This is the direction indicator lamp. It flashes with an audible signal to show that the direction indicators are on.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that your indicators are working.

Sidelamps

Sidelamps indicator

This is the sidelamps indicator lamp. When it stays on steadily, the sidelamps are on.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that your sidelamps are switched on.

Dipped beam headlamps

Dipped beam indicator

This is the dipped beam headlamps indicator lamp. When it stays on steadily, the dipped beam headlamps are on.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that your dipped beam headlamps are switched on.

Front foglamps

Front fog lamp indicator

This is the front foglamps indicator lamp. When it stays on steadily, the front foglamps are on.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that your front foglamps are switched on.

Main beam headlamps

Blue main beam indicator

This is the main beam headlamps indicator lamp. When it stays on steadily, the main beam headlamps are on.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that your main beam headlamps are switched on.

If You're Not Sure

If you're not sure what a lamp is telling you, look at whether it's on steadily or flashing and check for any message on the screen or an audible signal. Comparing these with the descriptions above will help you tell normal operation from a fault. If a system has a fault, stay calm, drive carefully and go to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Most green and blue lamps on your Peugeot Traveller are just confirming that a light or system is doing its job. For more detail on any function, see the matching section of your handbook, and keep this guide handy for the next time a lamp catches your eye.
