This red lamp is a seat belt reminder. It stays on or flashes, with an audible signal that gets louder. It means a seat belt has not been fastened or has been unfastened (depending on version).
What to do:
- Fasten your seat belt and make sure your passengers have fastened theirs.
Door open

This red lamp is a door open warning. It stays on with a message showing which access is open, and an audible signal is added if you are driving faster than 6 mph (10 km/h). It means a door, the boot, the tailgate or the opening rear screen is still open (depending on version).
What to do:
- Close whichever door, boot, tailgate or rear screen is open.
- If your vehicle has a right-hand side-hinged door, remember this lamp will not warn you when that door is open.
Electric parking brake

This red lamp relates to the electric parking brake. When it stays on, the electric parking brake is applied. When it flashes, applying or releasing the parking brake is not working properly.
What to do:
If the lamp stays on:
- Release the electric parking brake before you drive off.
If the lamp flashes:
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so, parking on flat, level ground.
- With a manual gearbox, engage a gear. With an automatic gearbox or drive selector, select mode P.
- Switch off the ignition and contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Manual parking brake

This red lamp relates to the manual parking brake. When it stays on, the parking brake is applied or has not been released properly.
What to do:
- Release the parking brake fully before you drive off.
Braking

This red lamp warns of a braking problem and can come on in two ways. If the braking warning lamp stays on by itself, the brake fluid level in the braking circuit has dropped significantly. If two lamps stay on together, the electronic brake force distribution (EBFD) system is faulty.
What to do:
If the lamp shows low brake fluid:
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off the ignition.
- Top up the brake fluid with fluid that meets the manufacturer's recommendations.
- If the problem persists, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If the lamps show an EBFD fault:
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off the ignition.
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If You're Not Sure
If a red lamp comes on and you are not sure what it means, treat it as serious. Stay calm, stop somewhere safe as soon as you can, switch off the ignition and contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop for advice. Your vehicle's handbook also has more detail on each system.
Red lamps are your Peugeot Traveller's way of telling you to act now. Knowing what each one means helps you respond calmly and keep yourself and your passengers safe on the road.
