This is the red coolant temperature warning lamp. It stays on while the temperature gauge needle is in the red zone, and it means the cooling system is running too hot.
What to do:
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
- Wait until the engine has cooled down, then top up the coolant if needed.
- If the problem continues, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Seat belt not fastened / unfastened

This is the red seat belt warning lamp. It works in two ways, depending on which seat belt is involved.
If it stays on and then flashes in the passenger's seat belt and front airbag warning lamp display, the driver or front passenger has not fastened their seat belt or has unfastened it.
If it appears in the seat belt and front airbag warning lamp display for the rear seats, at least one rear passenger has unfastened their seat belt.
What to do:
If the driver or front passenger belt is not fastened:
- Pull out the seat belt in question and push the tongue into the buckle.
- See the "Seat belts" section of the handbook for more information.
If a rear passenger has unfastened their belt:
- Ask the rear passenger to fasten their seat belt again.
- See the "Seat belts" section of the handbook for more information.
Parking brake

This is the red parking brake warning lamp. It stays on when the parking brake is applied or has not been released properly.
What to do:
- Keep your foot on the brake pedal and release the parking brake to switch off the warning lamp.
- Follow the safety recommendations in the handbook.
- See the parking brake section of the handbook for more information.
If You're Not Sure
Every red warning lamp comes with a message on the screen to help you identify the fault, so read it carefully. If you are still not sure what a lamp means or how to deal with it, stop somewhere safe and contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Red warning lamps on your Peugeot RCZ should never be ignored. Stay calm, check the message on the screen, and when the handbook tells you to stop, do so as soon as it is safe. Keeping this guide handy means you will know what each lamp is telling you before you need it.
