This is the red seat belt warning lamp. It comes on steady or flashing, with an audible signal that gets louder. It means a seat belt has not been fastened or has been unfastened, depending on the version.
What to do:
- Make sure every seat belt in use is fastened.
Door open

This is the red door open warning lamp. It stays on with a message telling you which access is open, and an audible signal is added if you are travelling faster than 6 mph (10 km/h). It means a door, the boot, the tailgate or the opening rear screen is still open, depending on the version.
What to do:
- Close whichever door or access is open.
- If your van has a right-hand side-hinged door, bear in mind that this lamp will not warn you when that door is open.
Electric parking brake

This is the red electric parking brake lamp. When it is steady, the electric parking brake is applied. When it flashes, applying or releasing the parking brake is not working properly.
What to do:
If the lamp is steady:
- Release the parking brake before you drive off.
If the lamp is flashing:
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and park on flat, level ground.
- With a manual gearbox, engage a gear, then switch off the ignition.
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Manual parking brake

This is the red parking brake lamp, the same symbol used for the braking warning. When it stays on, the manual parking brake is applied or has not been fully released.
What to do:
- Release the parking brake fully before you drive off.
Braking

This is the red braking warning lamp. When it stays on by itself, the brake fluid level in the braking circuit has dropped significantly. When it stays on together with the second symbol shown above, the electronic brake force distribution (EBFD) system is faulty.
What to do:
If the braking lamp is on by itself (low brake fluid):
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off the ignition.
- Top up the brake fluid with fluid that meets the manufacturer's recommendations.
- If the problem persists, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If the braking lamp is on with the second symbol (EBFD fault):
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off the ignition.
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If You're Not Sure
If a red lamp comes on and you are not sure what it means, look at whether it is steady or flashing, and check for any message on the screen or an audible signal, as these help you tell a normal situation from a fault. Stay calm, stop somewhere safe if you need to, check the relevant section of your handbook and contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop if you are still unsure.
