Green and blue lamps on your dashboard are mostly indicator lamps. They show you that a system is working or switched on, rather than warning you about a problem. Some of them can light up steadily or flash, and some come with a beep or a message on the screen, which helps you tell whether everything is normal.

This guide covers the Peugeot Expert III van (2016-2024) and applies to vehicles built from 1 December 2022. Some lamps depend on the version or equipment of your van, so you may not see all of them.

Automatic wiping

Green automatic wipers indicator

This indicator lamp relates to the windscreen wipers. When it stays on, automatic windscreen wiping is activated.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that automatic wiping is active.

Automatic headlamp dipping

Green automatic main beam indicatorBlue main beam indicator

This indicator lamp can appear as either of two icons. When it stays on, automatic headlamp dipping has been activated in the vehicle's configuration menu and the lighting control stalk is set to AUTO.

What to do:

  • No action is needed while the function is working.
  • For more details on how it works, see the Lighting and visibility section of your handbook.

Stop & Start

Green stop start indicator

This indicator lamp belongs to the Stop & Start system and can either stay on or flash for a short time. Each one has its own meaning.

What to do:

If the lamp stays on, the Stop & Start system has put the engine into STOP mode because the vehicle has stopped.

  • No action is needed. This is how the system normally works.

If the lamp flashes for a short time, STOP mode is temporarily unavailable or START mode has been triggered automatically.

  • For more details, see the Driving section of your handbook.

Vehicle ready to drive (Electric)

Ready to drive indicator

This indicator lamp is for electric versions. It stays on, with a beep when it first comes on, to show that the vehicle is ready to drive and the thermal comfort systems are available.

What to do:

  • You can drive off. The lamp goes out once you reach about 3 mph (5 km/h) and comes back on when you come to a stop.
  • The lamp goes out when you switch off the motor and get out of the vehicle.

Blind spot monitoring

Blind spot indicator

This indicator lamp relates to blind spot monitoring. When it stays on, the function has been activated.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that blind spot monitoring is active.

Lane departure warning

Green lane assist indicator

This indicator lamp belongs to the lane departure warning system and can either flash or stay on. Flashing is a warning about your position in the lane, while a steady lamp points to a fault.

What to do:

If the lamp flashes with a beep, you have crossed a lane marking on the left or right.

  • Steer in the opposite direction to bring the van back on course.
  • For more details, see the Driving section of your handbook.

If the lamp stays on with a message on the screen, the system has a fault.

  • Stay alert and drive carefully.
  • Take the van to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Direction indicators

Turn signal indicator

This indicator lamp shows your direction indicators. It flashes with a ticking sound while the indicators are on.

What to do:

  • No action is needed while you are signalling.

Sidelamps

Sidelamps indicator

This indicator lamp relates to your sidelamps. When it stays on, the sidelamps are switched on.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that your sidelamps are on.

Dipped beam headlamps

Dipped beam indicator

This indicator lamp relates to your dipped beam headlamps. When it stays on, the dipped beam headlamps are switched on.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that your dipped beam is on.

Front foglamps

Front fog lamp indicator

This indicator lamp relates to your front foglamps. When it stays on, the front foglamps are switched on.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that your front foglamps are on.

Main beam headlamps

Blue main beam indicator

This indicator lamp relates to your main beam headlamps. When it stays on, the main beam headlamps are switched on.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. The lamp simply confirms that your main beam is on.

If You're Not Sure

If a lamp comes on and you're not sure what it means, check the section of your handbook that covers that system or function. If a lamp behaves in a way that worries you, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop for advice.

Green and blue lamps are usually good news: they tell you that a system on your Peugeot Expert III is doing its job. Getting to know them means you can spot the one that needs attention, such as a steady lane departure warning lamp, straight away.
