Green and blue lamps on your dashboard are indicator lamps. They show that a system is working or tell you its current status. In most cases they are simply information, not a sign that something has gone wrong.

This guide covers the Peugeot Partner III van (2018-2021) and applies to vehicles built from 1 October 2019. Some lamps depend on the version or equipment of your van, so you may not see all of them.

Stop & Start

Green stop start indicator

This lamp shows the Stop & Start symbol. It can light up steadily or flash for a short time, and each has a different meaning.

When it is lit steadily, the Stop & Start system has put the engine into STOP mode because the vehicle has stopped. When it flashes for a short time, STOP mode is not available for the moment, or START mode has been triggered automatically.

What to do:

If the lamp is lit steadily:

  • No action needed. It simply confirms that the engine is in STOP mode while you are stationary.

If the lamp flashes for a short time:

  • No action needed. It tells you that STOP mode is briefly unavailable or that the engine is restarting automatically.

Hill Assist Descent Control

Green hill start assist indicator

This lamp shows the Hill Assist Descent Control symbol. It can light up steadily or flash, depending on what the system is doing.

When it is lit steadily, the system is switched on but the conditions for it to start regulating are not met, for example because of the gradient, a speed that is too high or the gear that is engaged. When it flashes, the system is starting to regulate your descent.

What to do:

If the lamp is lit steadily:

  • No action needed. The system is on but is not regulating yet.

If the lamp is flashing:

  • Expect the system to brake the vehicle for you.
  • Your brake lamps come on while you go down the slope, which is normal.

Eco mode

What to do:

  • No action needed. It confirms that the front foglamps are switched on.

This lamp shows the sidelamp symbol. When it is lit steadily, your sidelamps are on.

  • No action needed. It confirms that the sidelamps are switched on.

Direction indicators

This lamp shows the direction indicator arrows. It comes on together with an audible signal while your direction indicators are on.

What to do:

  • No action needed. The lamp and the sound simply confirm that your indicators are working.

Dipped beam headlamps

Dipped beam indicator

This lamp shows the dipped beam symbol. When it is lit steadily, your dipped beam headlamps are on.

What to do:

Main beam headlamps

Blue main beam indicator

This lamp shows the main beam symbol. When it is lit steadily, your main beam headlamps are on.

What to do:

  • No action needed. It confirms that the main beam headlamps are switched on.

If You're Not Sure

If you are not sure what a lamp is telling you, think about what the van is doing at the time, as this helps you tell a normal status from a fault. You can also check the relevant section of your handbook for more detail on each system. Remember that a red or orange lamp signals a fault that needs looking into, so if one of those comes on, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Green and blue lamps on your Peugeot Partner III are there to keep you informed, not to worry you. Once you know what each one means, you can glance at the dashboard and carry on with your journey knowing your van's systems are doing their job.
