STOP

This is the red STOP warning lamp.
It comes on and stays on together with another warning lamp, and a message appears in the screen. It signals a major fault linked to one of these warning lamps: brake fluid level, engine oil pressure and temperature, engine coolant temperature, electronic brake force distribution or power steering.
What to do:
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
- Park and switch off the ignition.
- Call a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Engine coolant temperature and level

This is the red engine coolant temperature and level warning lamp.
It comes on and stays on, with the temperature gauge needle in the red zone. This means the temperature has risen abnormally.
What to do:
- Park somewhere safe and switch off the ignition.
- Allow the engine to cool down.
- Check the coolant level visually.
Engine oil pressure and temperature

This is the red engine oil pressure and temperature warning lamp.
If it stays on while you are driving, the oil pressure is too low or the temperature is too high. If it stays on even though the oil level is correct, there is a major fault.
What to do:
If the lamp stays on while you are driving:
- Park somewhere safe and switch off the ignition.
- Allow the engine to cool down, then check the oil level visually.
- See the Checking levels section of the handbook for more information.
If the lamp stays on even though the oil level is correct:
- Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Battery charge

This is the red battery charge warning lamp.
If it stays on, there is a fault in the charging circuit. If it flashes, active functions have been put on standby (economy mode). If it stays on even after you have checked the battery terminals, there is a fault with the ignition or injection system.
What to do:
If the lamp stays on:
- Check the battery terminals.
- See the Battery section of the handbook for more information.
If the lamp is flashing:
- See the Battery section of the handbook for more information on economy mode.
If the lamp stays on despite your checks:
- Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Seat belt not fastened

This is the red seat belt warning lamp.
If it comes on and then starts flashing, the driver and/or front passenger has not fastened their seat belt. If it comes on with an audible signal and then stays on, the vehicle is moving with the driver's and/or front passenger's seat belt unfastened.
What to do:
If the lamp comes on and then flashes:
- Pull the seat belt strap and insert the tongue into the buckle.
If the lamp comes on with an audible signal while you are moving:
- Check the seat belt is fastened correctly by pulling the strap.
