Peugeot 307 CC Indicators: Green and Blue Warnings (2003-2005)

What the green and blue indicator lights on your Peugeot 307 CC mean, from the SPORT and SNOW lights to the automatic gearbox display, with clear steps.

Green and blue lamps are information lights. They tell you that a function or programme is switched on, or show the position you have selected, so they are not usually a cause for concern. This guide covers the Peugeot 307 CC from 2003 to 2005 and is based on the handbook edition for cars produced from 1 July 2004.

Some of these indicators depend on the version and equipment of your car. For example, the SPORT and SNOW lights and the gear display only apply to cars with an automatic gearbox, so you may not see every one of them.

"SPORT" indicator light

"SPORT" indicator light warning lamp icon

This icon reads "SPORT". It comes on and stays lit when you select the SPORT programme on the automatic gearbox. If it flashes together with the SNOW light, an audible signal and the message "Automatic gearbox fault" on the multi-function display, it means there is an operating fault with the gearbox.

What to do:

If the light is on steadily:

  • No action is needed. It simply confirms that the SPORT programme is selected.

If the light flashes with the SNOW light:

  • Read the message on the multi-function display, which confirms an automatic gearbox fault.

"SNOW" indicator light

"SNOW" indicator light warning lamp icon

This icon reads "SNOW". It comes on and stays lit when you select the SNOW programme on the automatic gearbox. If it flashes together with the SPORT light, an audible signal and the message "Automatic gearbox fault" on the multi-function display, it means there is an operating fault with the gearbox.

What to do:

If the light is on steadily:

  • No action is needed. It simply confirms that the SNOW programme is selected.

If the light flashes with the SPORT light:

  • Read the message on the multi-function display, which confirms an automatic gearbox fault.

These symbols appear on the automatic gearbox display. They show the position of the selector lever: Park, Reverse, Neutral or Drive. In manual mode they show the gear engaged, from 1st to 4th. The display can also show the selected programme alongside the position, for example SPORT with Park, or SNOW with Drive.

What to do:

  • No action is needed. Just check that the display shows the position or gear you meant to select.

If You're Not Sure

If a light behaves differently from what is described here, or you are not sure what you are seeing, check your car's handbook or ask a PEUGEOT dealer to take a look.

Green and blue lights are there to keep you informed, so most of the time they simply confirm that you have selected what you wanted. Keep an eye out for the SPORT and SNOW lights flashing together, as that is the one case where they point to a fault.
