This lamp shows automatic main beam is switched on (activated via the touch screen, with the lighting stalk set to AUTO). A windscreen camera switches between main and dipped beam depending on traffic and street lighting. You can override it at any time.
Blue Indicator Lamps
Blue is reserved for the main beam (high beam) indicator. If you can see it, so can oncoming drivers, so dip your lights for other road users.
Main Beam Headlamps

The blue lamp shows your main beam (high beam) is on. Dip it for oncoming traffic and when you're following another car, so you don't dazzle the driver.
Black/White (Grey) Indicator Lamps
On digital instrument panels, white or grey symbols show the status of driver assistance systems: a grey lamp usually means "switched on but not available right now", while a white or coloured one means "working".

On manual cars with Stop & Start, this appears when the engine can't restart because the clutch pedal isn't pressed all the way down. Push the clutch fully to the floor. If the lamp stays on, have the clutch switch checked.

This lamp is a reminder to press the brake pedal. You'll typically see it when you try to move the gear selector out of P or N, or release the parking brake, without your foot on the brake. Press the brake firmly and try again.
Automatic Gearbox (EAT8) / Drive Selector Locked (Electric)

This lamp means the automatic gearbox selector (or drive selector on electric versions) is locked. Press the Unlock button on the selector to release it.
Water in Diesel Fuel Filter

Despite appearing among the information lamps on some LCD panels, this one needs action. Water has collected in the diesel fuel filter, which can damage the injection system.
What to do: stop when safe and contact a Peugeot dealer or workshop without delay to have the filter drained.
A Quick Tip
If a symbol you don't recognise appears in red or orange, it's a warning rather than an indicator. Check the other guides in this series, or the handbook, before you assume it's harmless.
