Access to the tools

The fuse extraction tweezers are fitted to the back of the fusebox cover, either in the dashboard or in the glove box.

Dashboard:

  1. Unclip the cover: pull the cover at the top left, then at the right.
  2. Remove the cover: disengage the cover fully and turn it over.
  3. Take out the tweezers: remove the carrier on which the tweezers are fitted.

Glove box:

  1. Open the glove box: open the glove box lid.
  2. Unclip the cover: pull the fusebox cover at the top right.
  3. Remove the cover: disengage the cover completely and turn it over.
  4. Take out the tweezers: remove the carrier on which the tweezers are fitted.

Before you change a fuse:

  • Immobilise the car and switch off the ignition.
  • Switch off all electrical consumers.
  • Identify the failed fuse using the allocation tables in this guide.

When you remove or fit a fuse:

  • Use the special tweezers to pull the fuse out of its housing, then check the filament to see whether the fuse is good or has failed.
  • Always replace a failed fuse with one of the same rating (same colour). A different rating can cause malfunctions and there is a risk of fire.

If the new fuse fails again soon after you fit it, have the electrical system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop. The full fuse allocation tables and diagrams, plus wiring information for professional repairers, are available from a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop. Never replace a fuse that is not shown in the allocation tables, as this can cause a serious malfunction: contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop instead.

Installing electrical accessories

Your car's electrical system is designed to work with standard or optional equipment. Before you install any other electrical equipment or accessories, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

PEUGEOT accepts no responsibility for repair costs or for putting right malfunctions caused by accessories that were not supplied or recommended by PEUGEOT, or not installed to specification. This applies in particular when the combined power consumption of all the additional equipment connected exceeds 10 milliamperes.
