- You switch the speed limiter on manually, and the programmed speed must be at least 20 mph (30 km/h).
- You switch it off by using the control manually.
- You can go over the programmed speed for a short time by pressing the accelerator firmly.
- To return to the set speed, slow down to below the programmed speed.
- The set speed stays in the system memory when you switch off the ignition.
The speed limiter can never replace the need to keep to speed limits or to stay alert at the wheel.

Programming the speed limiter:
- Select the mode: turn thumb wheel 1 to the "LIMIT" position. The speed limiter mode is selected but not yet switched on. You do not need to switch it on to set the speed.
- Set the speed: press button 2 or 3 to set the speed value.
- Switch it on: press button 4.
- Switch it off: press button 4. The display confirms that it is off.
- Switch it back on: press button 4 again.
You can keep adjusting the programmed speed with buttons 2 and 3:
Scroll the table sideways.
| How you press | Change |
|---|
| Short press | By + or - 1 mph (1 km/h) |
| Long press | By + or - 5 mph (5 km/h) |
| Press and hold | In steps of + or - 5 mph (5 km/h) |
Exceeding the programmed speed: pressing the accelerator to go faster has no effect unless you press the pedal firmly beyond the point of resistance. The speed limiter is then deactivated temporarily, and the programmed speed stays on the display and flashes. When the car slows back to the programmed speed, whether you mean it to or not, the flashing stops automatically.
Exiting speed limiter mode: turn thumb wheel 1 to the 0 position. The speed limiter mode is deselected and the display returns to the total mileage recorder.
Operating fault: if the speed limiter develops a fault, the speed is cleared and dashes flash on the display. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Bear in mind that on a steep descent or under sharp acceleration, the speed limiter cannot stop the car going over the programmed speed. To avoid any risk of the pedals jamming, make sure the floor mat is positioned correctly and never fit one mat on top of another.
Cruise control
Cruise control keeps your car at the speed you have programmed, without you pressing the accelerator pedal. You switch it on manually, and it needs a minimum speed of 25 mph (40 km/h) and one of the following:
- Fourth gear on a manual gearbox.
- Second gear on an automatic or electronic gearbox, in sequential mode.
- Position A on an electronic gearbox or position D on an automatic gearbox.
Cruise control switches off when you turn it off manually, when you press the brake or clutch pedal, or when the electronic stability system is triggered, for safety reasons. You can go over the programmed speed for a short time by pressing the accelerator, and you return to it by releasing the pedal. Switching off the ignition cancels any programmed speed.
Cruise control can never replace the need to keep to speed limits or to stay alert at the wheel.

Programming cruise control:
- Select the mode: turn thumb wheel 1 to the "CRUISE" position. The cruise control mode is selected but not yet switched on.
- Set the speed: accelerate to the speed you want, then press button 2 or 3.
- Switch it off: press button 4. The display confirms that it is off.
- Switch it back on: press button 4 again.
You can keep adjusting the programmed speed with buttons 2 and 3:
Scroll the table sideways.

| Short press | By + or - 1 mph (1 km/h) |
| Long press | By + or - 5 mph (5 km/h) |
| Press and hold | In steps of + or - 5 mph (5 km/h) |
Take care if you keep holding one of the speed buttons while cruise control is on, as the speed of your car can change very quickly.
Exceeding the programmed speed: if the car goes over the programmed speed, whether you mean it to or not, the speed flashes on the display. When the car slows back to the programmed speed, the flashing stops automatically.
Leaving cruise control mode: turn thumb wheel 1 to the 0 position. The cruise control mode is deselected and the display returns to the total mileage recorder.
Malfunction: if cruise control develops a fault, the speed is cleared and dashes flash on the display. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Do not use cruise control on slippery roads or in heavy traffic. On a steep downhill stretch, it cannot stop the car going over the programmed speed. To avoid any risk of the pedals jamming, make sure the floor mat is positioned correctly and never fit one mat on top of another.
Memorising speeds
You can store speed settings and then pick them when you set up the speed limiter or cruise control. The system holds up to five speed settings for each of the two systems, and some are already stored by default.
With the touch screen: you set this up from the Driving / Vehicle menu. For safety, only do this while the car is stationary.
- Open the tab: select the "Driving functions" tab.
- Choose the function: select "Adjusting Speeds".
- Activate it: press "ON".
- Pick a setting: select the speed setting, 1 to 5, that you want to change.
- Pick the value: select the speed value you want to change.
- Enter and confirm: type the new value on the numerical keypad, then press "OK" to confirm.
Selecting a memorised speed:
- Find the nearest speed: press and hold the "+" or "-" button. The system stops at the nearest memorised speed.
- Choose another: press and hold the "+" or "-" button again to move to another memorised speed.
The instrument panel shows a reminder of the speed and whether the system is on or off.
