This is the front passenger airbag ON indicator. When it is on steadily, the front passenger airbag is activated and its control is set to "ON".
What to do:
- Do not fit a rearward-facing child seat on the front passenger seat, as there is a risk of serious injury.
Front passenger airbag (OFF)

This is the front passenger airbag OFF indicator. When it is on steadily, the front passenger airbag is deactivated and its control is set to "OFF".
What to do:
- You can fit a rearward-facing child seat on the front passenger seat.
- Do not do this if there is an airbag fault, shown by the Airbags warning lamp being on.
Dynamic stability control /Anti-slip regulation (DSC)

Two different orange lamps are used for the DSC/ASR system. The DSC/ASR off lamp on steadily means the system is deactivated. The DSC/ASR lamp flashes while the system is working after a loss of grip or trajectory, and stays on steadily if the system has a fault.
What to do:
If the DSC/ASR off lamp is on:
- The system switches back on automatically when you restart the vehicle and at speeds above approximately 31 mph (50 km/h).
- Below 31 mph (50 km/h), you can switch it back on manually.
If the DSC/ASR lamp flashes:
- No action is needed: the system is working to help you keep control.
If the DSC/ASR lamp is on steadily:
- Take the vehicle to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Hill start assist

The DSC/ASR lamp and the Service warning lamp come on steadily with the message "Anti roll-back system fault". It means the hill start assist system has a fault.
What to do:
- Take the vehicle to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Emergency brake malfunction (with electric parking brake)

The DSC/ASR lamp and the Service warning lamp come on steadily with the message "Parking brake fault". It means emergency braking is not delivering its best performance.
What to do:
- If automatic release is not available, use manual release.
- Otherwise, take the vehicle to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Active lane departure warning system

This is the orange lane departure warning lamp. On its own and on steadily, the system has been deactivated automatically or put on standby. If it flashes, you are about to cross a broken lane marking without using your indicators, and if it is on with the Service warning lamp, the system has a fault.
What to do:
If the lane departure lamp is on steadily on its own:
If the lamp flashes:
- The system activates and corrects your trajectory if it detects a risk of unintentionally crossing a line or the hard shoulder (depending on version).
- For more information, see the Driving section of your handbook.
If the lamp and the Service warning lamp are both on:
- Take the vehicle to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Overload indicator (Peugeot Partner)

This orange overload lamp applies to the Peugeot Partner. On its own and on steadily, the load in the vehicle exceeds the maximum authorised load. Together with the Service warning lamp and a message, it means the overload indicator system has a fault.
What to do:
If the overload lamp is on by itself:
- Reduce the load in the vehicle.
If the overload lamp and the Service warning lamp are on with a message:
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
AdBlue® (with 1.6 BlueHDi Euro 6.1)

This is the orange AdBlue® lamp for the 1.6 BlueHDi Euro 6.1 engine. It comes on steadily when you switch on the ignition, with an audible signal and a message showing the driving range. The remaining range is between 1,500 and 370 miles (2,400 and 600 km).
What to do:
- Top up the AdBlue® quickly.
- Alternatively, take the vehicle to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
AdBlue®

The orange AdBlue® lamp flashes and the Service warning lamp stays on steadily, with an audible signal and a message. The message shows either that the driving range is less than 375 miles (600 km), or that the AdBlue® tank is empty and starting is prevented by the legally required engine immobiliser.
What to do:
If the message shows a driving range below 375 miles (600 km):
- Top up the AdBlue® to avoid a breakdown.
- Alternatively, take the vehicle to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If the message says starting is prevented:
- Top up the AdBlue® to restart the engine, or contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
- Add at least 5 litres of AdBlue® to the tank.
AdBlue® (with 1.5 BlueHDi Euro 6.2/6.3)

This is the orange AdBlue® lamp for the 1.5 BlueHDi Euro 6.2/6.3 engine. How it lights up, along with the message shown, tells you how much driving range is left before the AdBlue® runs out.
What to do:
If it comes on for around 30 seconds when you start the vehicle, the range is between 1,500 and 500 miles (2,400 and 800 km):
If it stays on steadily when you switch on the ignition, with an audible signal, the range is between 500 and 62 miles (800 and 100 km):
- Top up the AdBlue® promptly, or take the vehicle to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If it flashes with an audible signal and a range message, the range is less than 62 miles (100 km):
- Top up the AdBlue® to avoid the engine being prevented from starting, or take the vehicle to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If it flashes with a message saying starting is prevented, the tank is empty and the legally required engine immobiliser stops the engine from starting:
- Top up the AdBlue® to restart the engine, or contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
- Add at least 5 litres of AdBlue® to the tank.
SCR emissions control system (BlueHDi)

On BlueHDi engines, a fault with the SCR emissions control system brings on the AdBlue® lamp, the Service warning lamp and the engine self-diagnostic lamp together, with an audible signal and a message. Whether the AdBlue® lamp is steady or flashing, and what the message says, shows how serious the situation is.
What to do:
If all three lamps are on steadily when you switch on the ignition, a malfunction of the SCR system has been detected:
- The alert goes away once exhaust emissions return to normal levels.
If the AdBlue® lamp flashes and the message shows a driving range, you can drive up to 685 miles (1,100 km), depending on the message, before the engine immobiliser is triggered:
- Take the vehicle to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop without delay to avoid starting being prevented.
If the AdBlue® lamp flashes and the message says starting is prevented, the permitted driving limit has been exceeded and the engine immobiliser stops the engine from restarting:
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop to get the engine started.
Service

This is the orange Service warning lamp. It comes on with a message when one or more faults are detected that have no warning lamp of their own. If it comes on only for a short time the faults are minor, and if it stays on steadily they are major.
What to do:
If the lamp comes on briefly with a message:
- Use the message on the instrument panel to identify the fault.
- You may be able to deal with some faults yourself, such as changing the battery in the remote control.
- For other faults, such as with the tyre under-inflation detection system, take the vehicle to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If the lamp stays on steadily with a message:
- Use the message on the instrument panel to identify the fault.
- Then take the vehicle to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Release not available (with electric parking brake)

The Service warning lamp comes on steadily with the message "Parking brake fault". It means automatic release of the electric parking brake is not available.
What to do:
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Service
The Service warning lamp stays on steadily while the service spanner flashes and then stays on. It means the servicing interval has been exceeded, and it applies only to BlueHDi Diesel engines.
What to do:
- Have the vehicle serviced as soon as possible.
Rear foglamp

This is the orange rear foglamp indicator. When it is on steadily, the rear foglamp is switched on.
What to do:
- No action is needed. Switch the rear foglamp off when you no longer need it.
If You're Not Sure
If an orange lamp comes on and you're not sure which case applies, check the message on the instrument panel and note whether the lamp is steady or flashing and which other lamps are lit. If you're still in doubt, stop somewhere safe and contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Orange lamps rarely mean you have to stop straight away, but they shouldn't be ignored. Deal with the cause promptly and your Peugeot Rifter will stay safer and more reliable. For more detail on any system, see the relevant section of your handbook.
