This red lamp warns you about an open door or boot.
It stays on with a message showing which door or boot is affected. It means a door or the boot is not properly closed. If you are driving faster than 6 mph (10 km/h), an audible signal sounds as well.
What to do:
- Stop somewhere safe and close the door or boot shown in the message properly.
Seat belts not fastened/unfastened

This red lamp is the seat belt reminder.
It stays on or flashes, with an audible signal that gets louder. It means a seat belt has not been fastened or has been unfastened.
What to do:
- Make sure every occupant fastens their seat belt.
Active Suspension Control

This red lamp relates to the Active Suspension Control system.
When it stays on, a malfunction of the active suspension system has been detected.
What to do:
- Reset the system by switching off the ignition and waiting at least 30 seconds.
- Switch the ignition back on and wait at least 5 seconds before starting the engine.
- If the problem continues, go to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Electric parking brake

This red lamp shows the status of the electric parking brake.
When it stays on, the electric parking brake is applied. When it flashes, there is a fault with applying or releasing the brake.
What to do:
If the lamp stays on:
- Release the parking brake before you drive off.
If the lamp flashes:
- Stop the car as soon as it is safe to do so, parking on flat, level ground.
- Select P on the automatic gearbox and switch off the ignition.
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Braking

This red braking lamp warns you about the braking system and can come on in two situations.
If the braking lamp stays on by itself, the brake fluid level in the braking circuit has dropped significantly. If the braking lamp stays on together with a second warning lamp, the electronic brake force distribution (EBFD) system is faulty.
What to do:
If the braking lamp is on by itself:
- Stop the car as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off the ignition.
- Top up the brake fluid with fluid that meets the manufacturer's recommendations.
- If the problem continues, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If the braking lamp is on with the second warning lamp:
- Stop the car as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off the ignition.
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If You're Not Sure
If a red lamp comes on and you are not sure what it means, stay calm and stop somewhere safe as soon as you can. Check whether a message has appeared on the screen, as it often explains the problem. If you are still unsure, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop for advice.
