Peugeot 2008 II Indicators: Green and Blue Warnings (2023-2025)

What each green and blue lamp on the Peugeot 2008 II (2023-2025) means, from Stop & Start to main beam, and what, if anything, you need to do about it.

Green and blue lamps on your dashboard are indicator lamps. Rather than warning you of a fault, they show you the operating status of a system, such as your lights, the wipers or a driving aid. Some of them come on steadily and some flash, and the way a lamp lights up tells you what the system is doing.

This guide covers the Peugeot 2008 II and is based on handbook edition ed01-23, which applies to vehicles produced from 03/07/2023. Some of these lamps depend on the version or equipment of your car, so you may not see every one of them.

Hill Assist Descent Control

Hill Assist Descent Control warning lamp icon

This lamp shows the Hill Assist Descent Control symbol. When it stays on, the system is switched on, but the conditions for it to control your speed are not met: the gradient, your speed being too high or the gear engaged. When it flashes, the function is controlling the speed of your car.

What to do:

If the lamp stays on:

  • No action is needed. The system is switched on and waiting for the right gradient, speed and gear before it starts working.

If the lamp flashes:

  • The system is braking the car for you.
  • Your brake lamps come on during the descent.

If You're Not Sure

If you are not sure what a green or blue lamp is telling you, think about what the car is doing at that moment. Matching the lamp to what is happening, such as whether you are stopped, moving or going downhill, helps you tell whether everything is normal. Then check the description of that lamp above.

Green and blue lamps are there to keep you informed, so in most cases they simply confirm that a system is doing its job. Knowing what each one means makes it easier to spot when something on your Peugeot 2008 is working as it should.
