Peugeot 4008 I Indicators: Green and Blue Warnings (2011-present)

What the green and blue indicator lamps on your Peugeot 4008 mean, from direction indicators to cruise control and Stop & Start, and what you should do.

Green and blue lamps on your instrument panel are operation indicator lamps. When one comes on, it confirms that the matching system is working. Some may come with an audible signal and a message on the instrument panel screen.

This guide covers the Peugeot 4008 I (2011-present) and is based on handbook edition ed01-16, valid for vehicles produced from 03/10/2016. Some lamps depend on your car's version or equipment, so you may not see every one listed here.

What to do:

  • If the lamp flashes much faster than usual, a bulb in one of the direction indicators may have blown.
  • Change the bulb, or contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Stop & Start system (Auto Stop & Go)

If it stays on, the car has stopped (at red lights, in traffic jams and so on) and the Stop & Start (AS&G) system has put the engine into STOP mode.

If it flashes for a few seconds and then goes off, STOP mode is temporarily unavailable.

What to do:

If the lamp stays on:

  • Simply move off when you are ready. The lamp goes off and the engine restarts automatically in START mode.

If the lamp flashes for a few seconds, then goes off:

  • See the Stop & Start (Auto Stop & Go) section of your handbook for more on the system, especially the special cases for STOP mode and START mode.

If You're Not Sure

If a lamp behaves in a way you don't expect, or you have any problem with one of these systems, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Green and blue lamps are mostly good news, as they simply confirm that a system is doing its job. Getting to know them means you'll spot straight away when something isn't quite right.
