One of these lamps stays on steadily when Automatic headlamp dipping has been switched on in the Driving menu of the touch screen and the lighting stalk is in the AUTO position. It confirms the function is active.
What to do:
- Let the system work: the camera at the top of the windscreen switches between main beam and dipped beam to suit the outside light and driving conditions.
- See the Automatic headlamp dipping section of your handbook for full details.
Front foglamps

This lamp stays on steadily when the front foglamps have been switched on with the ring on the lighting stalk. It confirms they are on.
What to do:
- To switch the front foglamps off, turn the ring on the lighting stalk backwards twice.
Stop & Start

This lamp can stay on steadily or flash briefly. When it is steady, the Stop & Start system has put the engine into STOP mode because the car has stopped, for example at red lights or in a traffic jam. When it flashes for a few seconds and then goes off, STOP mode is temporarily unavailable, or START mode has been triggered automatically.
What to do:
If the lamp is steady:
- Simply move off when you are ready. The lamp goes off and the engine restarts automatically in START mode.
If the lamp flashes briefly, then goes off:
- See the Stop & Start section of your handbook for more information.
Hill Assist Descent Control

This lamp can stay on steadily or flash. When it is steady, the system is switched on but the conditions it needs to control your speed are not met, such as the gradient or the gear engaged. When it flashes, the system is actively controlling the speed of the car.
What to do:
If the lamp is steady:
- The system is on but not yet controlling your speed.
If the lamp is flashing:
- Expect the car to brake itself, with the brake lamps lighting up during the descent.
- See the Hill Assist Descent Control section of your handbook for more information.
Blind Spot Monitoring System

This lamp stays on steadily when the Blind Spot Monitoring System has been switched on. It confirms the system is active.
What to do:
- See the Blind Spot Monitoring System section of your handbook for more information.
Automatic wiping

This lamp stays on steadily when you have pushed the wiper stalk down. It confirms that automatic front wiping is switched on.
What to do:
- To switch automatic wiping off, push the wiper stalk down again or move it to another position.
If You're Not Sure
If a lamp comes on and you are not sure why, read the message shown on the instrument panel alongside it, then check the matching section of your handbook. If you still have a problem, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Green and blue lamps are there to confirm what your Peugeot 3008 is doing, so in most cases you just need to know which system is on. Keep this guide handy and you will always know what you are looking at.
