Access to the tools

The fuse extraction tweezers are fitted to the back of the fusebox cover, either in the dashboard or in the glove box.

Dashboard fusebox:

  1. Unclip the cover: Pull at the top left of the cover, then at the right.
  2. Turn it over: Remove the cover fully and turn it over.
  3. Take the tweezers: Remove the carrier that holds the tweezers.

Glove box fusebox:

  1. Open the glove box: Lift the glove box lid.
  2. Unclip the cover: Pull at the top right of the fusebox cover.
  3. Turn it over: Remove the cover completely and turn it over.
  4. Take the tweezers: Remove the carrier that holds the tweezers.

Before you change a fuse:

  1. Make the car safe: Immobilise the vehicle and switch off the ignition.
  2. Switch off equipment: Make sure all electrical consumers are switched off.
  3. Find the failed fuse: Use the allocation tables and diagrams to identify it.

When you remove or fit a fuse:

  1. Use the tweezers: Pull the fuse out of its housing with the special tweezers.
  2. Check the filament: Look at the filament to see whether the fuse is good or failed.
  3. Fit the right fuse: Always replace a failed fuse with one of the same rating (same colour). A different rating may cause malfunctions and there is a risk of fire.

If the new fuse fails again soon after you fit it, have the electrical system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop. Do not replace any fuse that is not shown in the allocation tables, as this may cause a serious malfunction of your car. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop instead. The full fuse allocation tables, diagrams and wiring information for professional repairers are available from a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Installing electrical accessories

Your car's electrical system is designed to work with standard or optional equipment. Before you install any other electrical equipment or accessories, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

PEUGEOT accepts no responsibility for repair costs or malfunctions caused by accessories that are not supplied and recommended by PEUGEOT, or not installed to specification. This applies in particular when the combined power consumption of all the additional equipment connected exceeds 10 milliamperes.
