Green and blue lamps on your Peugeot Landtrek are indicator lamps. They don't warn you of a fault. Instead, they tell you that a system or function is on or working. Some of them can light up steadily or flash, and that difference changes what they mean.

This guide covers the Peugeot Landtrek I (2020-present) and applies to vehicles built from 1 September 2022. Some lamps depend on the version or equipment of your vehicle, so you may not see all of them.

Hill Assist Descent Control

Hill descent control indicator

This lamp shows the Hill Assist Descent Control symbol. It can light up steadily or flash. A steady lamp means you have switched the system on but the conditions it needs are not met, such as the gradient, a speed that is too high or the gear engaged. A flashing lamp means the system is controlling your vehicle's speed.

What to do:

If the lamp is on steadily:

  • The system is on but is not yet controlling your speed, because the gradient, your speed or the gear engaged does not suit it.

If the lamp is flashing:

  • The system is braking the vehicle for you.
  • Your brake lamps come on during the descent.

Cruise control

4WD high range indicator

This lamp shows the high speed 4-wheel drive symbol. It can flash or light up steadily. A flashing lamp means you have selected 4-wheel drive (4x4) but it is not yet active. A steady lamp means 4-wheel drive is active.

What to do:

If the lamp is flashing:

  • 4-wheel drive is selected but not yet active.

If the lamp is on steadily:

  • 4-wheel drive is active and you can drive at high speed.

4-wheel drive position (low speed)

4WD low range indicator

This lamp shows the low speed 4-wheel drive symbol.

  • 4-wheel drive is active, but you can only drive at low speed.

If You're Not Sure

If you're not sure what a lamp is telling you, check whether it is steady or flashing and whether a message or audible signal comes with it. Then compare that with what your vehicle is doing at the time. For more detail on any system or function, see the corresponding section of your handbook, or contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Green and blue lamps are there to confirm what your Peugeot Landtrek is doing, so most of the time they simply need a glance. If a red or orange lamp comes on instead, check our guides to those colours, as they can point to a fault that needs attention.
