This is the red airbag warning lamp.
If it stays on or flashes, one of the airbags or one of the seat belt pyrotechnic pretensioners is faulty.
What to do:
- Have the system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Seat belt not fastened

This is the red seat belt reminder lamp.
If it stays on and then starts flashing, you have not fastened your seat belt. If it comes on with an audible signal and then stays on, the van is moving with the driver's seat belt unfastened.
What to do:
If the lamp stays on and then flashes:
- Pull the seat belt across you and insert the tongue into the buckle.
If the lamp comes on with an audible signal while you are driving:
- Check that your seat belt is fastened correctly by pulling on it.
Pneumatic suspension

This is the red pneumatic suspension warning lamp.
When it stays on, the pneumatic suspension system has a fault.
What to do:
- Have the system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Parking brake

This is the red parking brake warning lamp.
When it stays on, the parking brake is applied or has not been fully released.
What to do:
- Keep your foot on the brake pedal and release the parking brake fully so the lamp goes off.
Braking

The braking warning can appear in two different ways.
If the red braking lamp stays on by itself, the brake fluid level is too low. If a different pair of symbols comes on and stays on together, the electronic brake force distribution (EBFD) system is faulty.
What to do:
If the braking lamp stays on by itself:
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off the ignition.
- Top up the brake fluid with fluid that meets the manufacturer's recommendations.
- If the problem persists, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If the pair of symbols comes on for the EBFD fault:
- Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off the ignition.
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If You're Not Sure
If a red lamp comes on and you are not sure what it means, stay calm, stop somewhere safe and check for any message on the screen. Keep in mind that some red lamps come on briefly when you switch on the ignition and should go off once the engine starts. If a lamp stays on after that, treat it as a fault that needs looking into, and contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Red warning lamps on your Peugeot Boxer are there to protect you, your van and your load, so never ignore one. Note how the lamp behaves, whether it is steady or flashing and whether there is a message or audible signal, and follow the steps above for that case.
