Accessing the tools

The extraction tweezers are fitted to the back of the dashboard fusebox cover.

  1. Unclip the cover: pull the cover at the top left, then at the right.
  2. Turn it over: take the cover off fully and turn it over.
  3. Take the tweezers: remove the tweezers from the back of the cover.

Changing a fuse

Before you change a fuse, prepare the car and find the right fuse.

  1. Fix the cause: identify the cause of the fault and fix it.
  2. Cut the power: stop all power consumption.
  3. Secure the car: immobilise the vehicle and switch off the ignition.
  4. Find the fuse: identify the defective fuse using the current allocation tables and diagrams.
  5. Remove the fuse: use the special tweezers to pull the fuse out of its housing.
  6. Check the filament: look at the filament to see whether the fuse is good or has failed.
  7. Fit the replacement: always replace the failed fuse with one of the same rating, which means the same colour.

Using a fuse with a different rating can cause malfunctions and there is a risk of fire. If the fault comes back after you have replaced the fuse, have the electrical system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

The fuse allocation tables and their diagrams are available from a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop. Do not replace a fuse that is not shown in the allocation tables, as this can cause a serious malfunction of your car. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop instead.

Your car's electrical system is designed to work with standard or optional equipment. Before you fit any other electrical equipment or accessories, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop. PEUGEOT will not pay for repairs or for fixing malfunctions caused by accessories that it has not supplied or recommended, or that were not fitted according to its instructions. This applies in particular when the combined consumption of all the extra equipment connected exceeds 10 milliamperes.
