Peugeot 106 I Indicators: Green and Blue Warnings (2001-2002)
Green and blue warning lights on the Peugeot 106 (2001-2002) explained: airbag lamps and the fuel supply cut-off, with what each one means for you.
Green and blue lamps on your dashboard are status lamps. They show you how a system is set up or confirm that it is working. This guide covers the first-generation Peugeot 106, based on handbook edition ed03-01 for vehicles produced from 1 November 2001, which places it in the 2001-2002 period.
Some lamps and features depend on the version or equipment of your car. These are marked with an asterisk (*) in the handbook, so your 106 may not have every lamp listed here.

Front and side* airbags
![]()
This lamp relates to the front airbags and, depending on specification, the side airbags. When you switch on the ignition, it comes on for 6 seconds if the passenger airbag is armed or if your car does not have a passenger airbag.
What to do:
- Nothing, this is a normal check when you switch on the ignition.
Front airbag disarmed
![]()
The handbook shows two versions of the symbol for this lamp. If the lamp stays on, the passenger airbag is disarmed. If the lamp flashes, whatever the setting, the system needs attention from a PEUGEOT dealer.
What to do:
If the lamp stays on:
- Remember that the passenger airbag is disarmed while this lamp is lit.
If the lamp flashes:
- Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Fuel supply cut-off*
This lamp relates to the fuel supply cut-off device, which is fitted according to specification. If there is a major collision, the device switches off the fuel supply to the engine.
What to do:
- Stay calm and make sure you and your passengers are somewhere safe.
- Press the button to restore the fuel supply to the engine.
If You're Not Sure
If you're not sure what a lamp is telling you, check your car's handbook first. If the passenger airbag lamp flashes, contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Green and blue lamps are mostly there to keep you informed. Knowing what each one means helps you understand your Peugeot 106 at a glance.
