About Peugeot Guide

Hi, I'm Omer. Peugeot Guide is an independent site that explains dashboard warnings, model notes and basic jobs in plain English. Omer runs it. It is not a company, and it is not Peugeot. No surname, postal address or company name is published.

What you will find

  • Warning light guides for the 208, 2008, 308, 408, 508, 3008 and 5008, arranged by colour and urgency
  • Model reviews covering design, everyday use and known issues
  • Engine notes for PureTech, BlueHDi, hybrid and electric versions
  • How-to notes for the instrument panel, the screen and software updates

How the guides are researched

The older about page said the notes come from living with the cars and from what other owners report, and that the official pages are the place to confirm anything that may have changed. That still holds.

  • Official sources first. Technical details, warning meanings and towing figures are checked against Peugeot's published owner's handbooks. The handbook text is not copied. It is rewritten in plain English.
  • Owner experience. Where a guide talks about living with a car, such as real-world fuel use, that comes from the operator's own cars and from other owners. It is not a lab test.
  • Dates. Specifications change by model year. If a figure comes from an older brochure, the guide says so. Each guide shows an updated date.
  • Markets. Engines and equipment differ between the UK, the US and other countries. Where that matters, the guide says so. Your own handbook wins.

If a red warning light comes on, stop as soon as it is safe. These pages are not a mechanic.
